BASE Materials, headquartered in Austin, TX is looking for a talented MARKETING COORDINATOR to join our growing eCommerce team. This role is a prime opportunity for you to join an entrepreneurial investment firm and make a lasting contribution in building and growing the marketing and customer support functions of its portfolio companies within the automotive parts and accessories category. To be successful in this role you will be knowledgeable of and enjoy speaking about automotive parts and accessories, enjoy the challenges of working in a growing and dynamic organization where priorities can shift frequently, and have the persuasive skills needed to engage customers and “close the deal”.
What You’ll Do
- Recruit and approve affiliates, influencers, fabricators and sponsorships.
- Follow up with all approved sponsorships to make sure that requirements are met.
- Maintain and upload photo gallery images along with reviewing customer submitted reviews and photos.
- Daily posting on social media along with engage and respond to social media messages and comments.
- Respond to marketing email, chat and tickets related to marketing activities, sponsorships, and influencers.
- Update customer service documents with new product information.
- Enter, send, and track marketing and promotion orders.
- First or second point of contact with customers and sales leads.
- Reserve, staff, and arrange booth presence at shows and events.
- Provide customers and influencers with a positive experience with great customer service
- Enthusiastically support business objectives and cross-train on other functions as requested
Requirements
What You’ll Need
- 2+ years recent experience in a similar role in a marketing department or agency
- Knowledge of automotive aftermarket parts and accessories
- Strong understanding of social channels including affiliate, influencer, sponsorship, and donation programs and their associated platforms
- Experience with Shopify, Shopify Plus or similar eCommerce platform
- Familiarity with ZenDesk, Gorgias, HubSpot, LiveAgent or similar customer service ticketing software
- Excellent communication and sales skills, with an emphasis on responding to and interacting with customers on the phone, in-person, via email, live-chat, and on social media
- Proven track record of building and growing social channels through social posting and engagement
- Experience setting up and running event and tradeshow exhibits
- Strong desire and willingness to learn the business and keep up to date with developments in marketing trends and tactics
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, solve problems independently or as part of team, prioritize work to meet deadlines, and follow up on all the little details required for successful outcomes
