As the go-to-market manager, you have the unique opportunity to shape both the product and the foundations of a world-class marketing and sales team. Centro is building a part of the future. We are building a next-generation e-commerce platform and reimagining how brands do operations. We unlock commerce brands’ ability to scale - saving brands money on their biggest line item (inventory)! Centro is looking for our first go-to-market hire to work closely with co-founders Jamyang Tenzin and Andrew Liu to build an industry-changing platform.
We’re a venture-backed startup with notable early-stage SaaS, ecommerce, and angel investors from companies like 2048, Ripple, Flexport. We’re a team of experienced engineers and operators previously working at Shopify, SSENSE, and Vividseats etc.

Responsibilities
- Own Acquisition and Activation:
- Scope and lead growth and marketing experiments ranging in Content, Socials, Partnerships, Demand Gen, Site to build Centro’s first growth engine.
- Create playbooks from successful projects and report on the performance of the projects.
- Collaborate with the CEO, team, Centro’s users, and prospects to revise and refine Centro’s value proposition and positioning.
- Set up Centro’s scaling for success by building new social partnerships within the ecommerce space.
- Evolve Retention and Monetization:
- Work with the founders to support Centro’s first power users, build a meaningful community of active users. Turn this into new insights that are great inputs into Centro’s own roadmap.
- Collaborate with the cofounders to test and implement Centro’s first pricing strategy.
Requirements
- Prior experience in shaping go-to-market functions such as; partnerships, marketing, or growth at high growth startups. You either led the team or were a key contributor as it grew from 0 to 1.
- A T-shaped expert: You have a specific skill you’re an expert at but you pride yourself in also being versatile.
- Operator mentality: Excellent organization, planning, and/or communication skills paired with a Get Stuff Done approach.
- Consumer-minded: You’ve grown a consumer brand before - whether in fashion, CPG, or consumer tech.
- Craft marketer: Some experience with SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media marketing, and other digital marketing channels
