eCommerce Operations Manager (Supply Chain)

Position Summary:
As an eCommerce Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of an eCommerce business. This role involves ensuring the smooth functioning of various processes, including inventory management, order fulfillment, sourcing, and logistics. The primary goal is to ensure efficient and effective operations to deliver a positive customer experience and drive business growth. While this position is remote day-to-day, with quarterly in-person meetings, we are only able to consider candidates residing in either WA or GA at this time.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing carrying costs. Implement inventory control measures, such as forecasting, replenishment, and warehouse management systems.
  • Order Fulfillment: Develop and optimize order fulfillment processes, including picking, packing, and shipping. Ensure orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. Coordinate with warehouse and shipping partners to streamline operations.
  • Logistics Management: Oversee the transportation and delivery of products to customers. Work closely with shipping carriers, negotiate contracts, and optimize shipping costs. Monitor shipping performance and address any issues or delays promptly.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Generate reports on operational performance, inventory levels, and order fulfillment metrics.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience. Implement automation tools, technology solutions, and best practices to streamline operations and reduce costs.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team responsible for various operational functions, such as inventory control, order processing, and logistics coordination. Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to optimize team performance.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Mitigate operational risks by implementing appropriate controls, data security measures, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and other business partners. Negotiate contracts, manage vendor performance, and evaluate new sourcing opportunities. Communicate operational expectations to 3PL warehouse and ensure they meet the Service Level Agreements.
  • Track movement and arrival of goods across the supply chain, communicating status and changes with any and all relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve exceptions, disruptions, and constraints that arise, escalating to the stakeholders.
  • Identify and document best practices; work collaboratively with other departments and supply chain partners to adapt and implement best practices.
  • Establish and maintain reporting related to cost, volume, and quality of warehouse partners through regular audits.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory management in a fulfillment setting.
  • Strong program management skills
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in eCommerce platforms: Amazon Seller Central, Shopify, and Walmart.
  • Experience working with and meeting SLAs for eCommerce marketplaces: Amazon, eBay, and Walmart
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively deal with ambiguity and creatively develop processes to aid efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Must show initiative, be resourceful, able to work independently without a lot of guidance.
  • Must be able to effectively lead, prioritize, manage time and projects, and multi-task in a fast paced, growing company environment.
  • Must present well, with confidence, humility and with the audience in mind.
  • Must be able to collaborate effectively with all levels of management and staff in a diverse, global environment.

Targeted Hiring Range: 105k-130k Base + Bonus PotentialTotal Compensation: Commensurate with experience and internal equity
