eCommerce Product Merchandiser

Simplistic is looking for an eCommerce Product Merchandiser to support our 40 Boxes team by ensuring coherence and cohesion in the representation of sellable products online and by creating a customer-centric online shopping experience. This role combines creative writing skills with eCommerce best practices to improve product visibility, brand consistency, and conversion rates.

As an ECOMMERCE PRODUCT MERCHANDISER this role could include:

• Enhance vendor-provided copy for item descriptions
• Create compelling, unique product copy for consumer facing brands
• Follow and develop merchandising standards for a wide range of products
• Analyze and implement client's feedback, recommending adjustments to product listing guidelines and merchandising tactics
• Ensure brand consistency across all product pages
• Manage the weekly site auditing process (QA) for all product pages and brand collections, proofreading and revising product page content as needed to ensure it meets retailer standards and brand guidelines
• Work collaboratively with other internal team members, such as Account Managers and Web Developers
• Manage multiple projects at once, complete last-minute requests, and make quick turnarounds
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in eCommerce technology to help drive innovation
  

Required Competencies

• Bachelor's degree OR 3+ years of relevant experience
• Deep understanding of how the eComm customer shopping experience works
• Proven understanding of how to merchandise and write compelling copy for online products
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Superior understanding and application of the English language, including grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax
• Communicates structured information in a clear, concise, and organized fashion
• Proficient in Google Suite/Workspace
• Self-starter and ability to work in an ever-changing environmenT
  

Preferred Competencies

• Familiarity with Content Management Systems (Knowledge with Shopify Plus preferred)
• SEO knowledge
